Powerback named Great Place to Work for Second Year in a Row
April 2, 2024—Great Place to Work Institute and its senior care partner, Activated Insights, once again certified Powerback brands, one of the largest rehabilitation organizations in the country, as a Great Place to Work® for 2024.
The Great Place to Work certification process involved surveying employees across Powerback therapy service lines, including Rehabilitation, Respiratory, and Pediatrics. More than 60 aspects of team members’ job experiences were evaluated, including employee pride in the organization’s community impact, the belief that their work makes a difference, and the feeling that their work has special meaning. This certification is based on the experiences of employees, no matter who they are or what they do.
“We're honored to once again receive recognition as a workplace where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to our shared success. Powerback owes its position as the leading national provider of therapy services to the hard work and efforts of each individual team member, as well as the support of our loyal customers and dedicated business partners. This reaffirms our dedication to creating a workplace culture where trust, respect, and collective achievement thrive,” said Carl Shrom, CEO of Powerback.
As an organization, Powerback has fully embraced its mission to improve the lives it touches. Notably, 85% of surveyed staff expressed confidence in their ability to directly impact the lives of others while at Powerback—a significant cultural achievement. To foster a positive culture, Powerback has taken several strategic steps in the past year in response to last year’s survey, including:
Unveiling a discretionary 401k company match benefit for all employees.
Introducing time and a half pay for Thanksgiving shifts.
Streamlining the vacation request process.
Enabling our workforce to access up to 70% of their net earnings on-demand through the Tapcheck app.
"We applaud Powerback for their actions toward ensuring it is a Great Place To Work,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung of Great Place to Work’s senior care partner, Activated Insights. “The employee feedback received measures its capacity to earn its employees’ trust and create a great workplace for high performance.”
Powerback Rehabilitation, a premier provider of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, announced a new strategic partnership with PredictionHealth, a leading AI-powered healthcare analytics solutions provider.
